American born Dean
Friedman is a multi-talented singer, musician and songwriter
best known for his hit singles from the late 1970's.
His first hit, the quirky Ariel from his self titled first album was a top 20 smash in 1977. He followed this with the top ten duet with Denise Marsa, Lucky Stars (and a favourite of mine and the title track to our disco musical from CMG) from his 1978 album, 'Well, Well', Said the Rocking Chair. Other singles from this album included Lydia and Rocking Chair. His third album, Rumpled Romeo featured the controversial hit McDonald's Girl, which was banned on the BBC due to its mention of the fast food restaurant. Dean has also a number of film and television scores under his belt including Boon, Eerie, Indiana and I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle. An advocate of new technologies, he is President and Creative Director of InVideo Systems, a creator of virtual reality kiosks and has also written a number of books on Midi and synthesizers. He continues to write, perform and tour today, and has recently released his latest album, Squirrels in the Attic. For further details, visit Dean's official website http://www.deanfriedman.com/ |
