Ian NASH-GILCHRIST

Ian's performing career began late in his life (some would say not late enough).

His early work included such productions as Anything Goes, Annie, Pippin (1994), Les Misérables, Joseph, Boogie Fever and The Andrew Lloyd Webber Spectacular (but don't hold that against him).

In recent times, he starred as Danny in Grease, Romeo & Juliet, Jesus Christ Superstar, West Side Story, Pippin (2000), A Chorus Line, Chicago, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (2002) and as the long-suffering Geoffrey in Stepping Out.

His writing career was launched when he teamed up with Ed Dolista, later co-founding Comic Genius Productions. Their plays include Robin Hood the Untold Story, Robin Hood 2: the Sheriff Strikes Back and Robin Hood 3: the Third One. In 2000 Ian reprised his role as Robin Hood in the revamped The Robin Hood Trilogy Special Edition.

He also produced and co-starred in Steve Martin's Picasso at the Lapin Agile and the Tony Curtis/Jerry Lewis comedy Boeing Boeing.

Ian co-choreographed Lyric Youth Theatre’s Pirates of Penzance with his wife, Penni. and also worked on A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
