They are best known for their worldwide smash Driver's Seat which was released in 1978.

But despite this being a hit in many countries it failed to reach the chart in the UK due to a record pressing strike at EMI which meant that, after a performance on Top Of The Pops Britains premiere music program, no one in the UK could buy the single.

The band had existed until 1992 but were never able to recapture the success of Driver's Seat. They later reformed, releasing new material in 2001. Their signature tune, Driver's Seat has stood the test of time and is frequently sampled for commercials and movies including 1997's Boogie Nights.
